Why Tampa Bay families and business owners choose Mike Garcia.
Choosing someone to manage your money is one of the most personal decisions you will make, and it comes down to trust. You want an advisor who is genuinely qualified, who will explain the "why" behind every recommendation, and who treats your plan the way he would treat his own family's.
That is the standard Mike Garcia, AAMS®, holds himself to. Below is what stands behind every plan he builds for Tampa Bay families and business owners, and the reason so many of his clients came to him through a referral from someone they trust. Plain-English, no-pressure planning
Every recommendation is explained in language you can act on. The first call is a conversation, not a sales pitch.
A business owner who became your financial advisor.
I'm Mike Garcia, AAMS®, a financial advisor with BRIA Capital Group. Before financial services, I spent 20+ years as an entrepreneur, building restaurants in California and Louisiana, hair salons, and a catering company. In 2018, Jessica and I moved our family from Colorado to Wesley Chapel.
That background matters. When I sit across from a business owner or a family thinking about retirement, I'm not reading from a script. I've lived the financial decisions that come with building something.

Financial planning you can actually understand and trust.
Most people do not need another advisor who talks over their head. They need someone who will sit down, listen, and lay out their options in plain English. That is the standard Mike Garcia, AAMS®, holds himself to on every plan he builds for Tampa Bay families and business owners.
Real financial planning is not five separate decisions made in five separate rooms. Your investments affect your taxes. Your business affects your retirement. Your insurance protects everything you have built. Mike coordinates all of it under one plan, so the pieces work together instead of against each other, and so you always know why each recommendation is on the table.
There is never any pressure. The first conversation is a 30-minute call to understand where you are and where you want to go. If working together makes sense, great. If not, you will still walk away with a clearer picture than you came in with. Learn more about Mike or book a consultation.

Common questions, answered plainly.
Who do you typically work with?
Families and small-business owners in the Tampa Bay area, generally with $250k+ in investable assets or a business they're building toward sale or succession. That said, the discovery call is free, if I'm not the right fit, I'll tell you and point you somewhere that is.
How are you paid?
Fees are transparent and discussed up front. Depending on the engagement, that may be a flat planning fee, an asset-based advisory fee, or commission for certain insurance products. You'll always know what you're paying and why before anything is signed.
Are you a fiduciary?
When acting in an advisory capacity, yes, I'm held to a fiduciary standard, meaning I'm legally required to act in your best interest. For insurance products, I work to recommend what actually fits your plan.
Do I have to live in Tampa Bay?
No. I'm based in Wesley Chapel and serve most of the Tampa Bay area in person, but I work with clients across Florida and several other states virtually.
What's the first meeting like?
A 30-minute call, no obligation. We'll talk through what you're working on, what you'd like clarity on, and whether it makes sense to keep talking. No pitch, no homework required up front.
